The winter of 2018 was tough on Whale Rock Lavender Farm.

Day after day of single-digit temperatures was just too much for sections of our lavender fields and we lost a lot of plants.

We have re-grouped and re-planted so we’ll bounce back for next spring.

The plants that did survive were exceptionally beautiful, with rich hues of blue and purple.

Some of the lavender varieties had a deeper and more pronounced fragrance than ever before!

We now have 2 whale-shaped fields and one rectangular field.

The farm continues to be the home to a family of turkeys (we have counted 14), birds, teenagers, and farmers!
